The story behind the tapestry....

A little over a year ago I was tasked by two lovely sisters to create some memory cushion covers from an attic find clearing out their late mums clothing. They had discovered bags filled with her vintage  Welsh wool tapestry clothing - beautiful handwoven pieces that carried so many memories . Rather than letting these precious fabrics fade away, they asked me to turn their mothers clothing into something new, handbags and cushions that they could keep close as a reminder of her.

That experience sparked the beginning of my creative journey with Welsh tapestry. I realized that these rich , intricate textiles weren't just fabric - they were history, memory and tradition all woven together.
