Every bag starts its journey long before it reaches my studio. The vintage Welsh tapestry I use was originally woven in the mills of Wales — powered by the rivers, shaped by the landscape, and crafted by skilled hands. From there it became clothing, worn and loved by real people over many years.
From Garment to Studio
When I source a piece of vintage tapestry clothing, I bring it back to my studio in Wales and begin the careful process of deconstructing it. Painstakingly, stitch by stitch, I take apart what once was — so that something new can be made. It's a process that demands patience, respect for the fabric, and a keen eye for how best to use every precious inch.
